The November 2016 issue of Cool Tears & Tiny Campers is now available online or or as a print copy. You can read all about Bob Aisenbrey's "Tuff Dog" overland camper and a beautiful wooden canoe and teardrop set by Corey Loeffelholz.

Cool Tears July/August 2016

The latest issue of Cool Tears & Tiny Campers is now available. This issue comes with some great news. The regularly bi-monthly magazine will now be published monthly. If you are interested in receiving the magazine, all you need to do is add your name and email to their list.

This issue has a couple of great spreads of teardrop trailers in the wilderness, a feature on the newest PeeWee camper, and an interview with teardrop builder James Caverly.

The teardrop designer and builder passed away this year.

The May/June issue of Cool Tears is now out and available as both a PDF and a print version. The online version is free. The print version costs $6.60 for each issue, but you also get the digital version with that price. This issue features an in-depth look at the new Little Guy T@G teardrop trailer, a 1947 Kit restoration and the types of tiny trailers featured at the RV Hall of Fame. It's about time they got some recognition!

 As many of you know, I write a weekly post for the Tiny House Blog. I also write a monthly article about teardrops and trailers in the Tiny House Magazine. The latest issue of Cool Tears & Tiny Campers is out on the virtual newstands now. This issue includes a story on tiny trailers and Model A cars, an interview with Dylan DeHoff of Little Guy Worldwide and a feature story of a 1966 half-dead teardrop brought back to life by Randy Higgins.

Atma Travelear in Tiny House Magazine

I met David McCamant and his Atma Travelear at the Dam Gathering of the Tears in northern California and fell in love with his Art Deco teardrop design. For his first build, the trailer is a phenomenal work of art with some details I've not seen in other teardrop trailers. This makes sense since David is a local fine and contemporary artist.

You can read about his trailer and his love of teardrop camping in the latest issue of Tiny House Magazine. The magazine is available in an iPad or PDF version.

Two Kamp Masters Featured in Tiny House Magazine

I recently wrote a story for Kent Griswold's Tiny House Magazine on the two Kamp Masters owned by Bob and Melanie Kelly of Ione, Calif. The couple restored a 1949 Kamp Master trailer and then built a new trailer from scratch using the original as a model. I met them and their unusual teardrop trailers at the Dam Gathering of the Tears at Shasta Lake in northern California.

The magazine can be purchased as either a digital version for the iPad or as a PDF. Each issue is $2.99 and Kent is now running a special where you can purchase all six issues for $14.

A Magazine Just for Teardrops

A free electronic magazine just for teardrops will be arriving in February 2013.  The Cool Tears and Tiny Campers magazine is a bi-monthly publication that will be delivered to your email box and is dedicated primarily to teardrop trailers and other small and ultralight campers.

One goal of the magazine is to break down the vast amounts of information on the web into a few interesting stories presented in a familiar graphic magazine format. The magazine will also feature quality manufacturers, custom builders, and do-it-yourselfers and teardrop trailer parts and supplies.
