We had so much fun taking photos on our last trip to the
Black Rock Desert, so a few more will make an appearance. The desert is so vast that even a vehicle and a tiny trailer can quickly disappear into it. You might be able to see the Sunflower in the distance near Old Razorback Mountain.
So few people go out there that the only vehicle tracks you can see are ours.
How's the cell phone reception there?.....
ReplyDeleteNon-existent. Just how we like it. :-)
DeleteYou look very much alone out there. Hope you enjoyed every minute of the peace and quiet!
ReplyDeleteIt's a weird place. You can be totally exposed and totally alone at the same time.
DeleteI will be out there July 8th to help restore Guru Road with the Friends of Black Rock High Rock. Check out their website and join or come out to one of the events and learn more about this wonderful place. It will be my 9 year old grandson's first visit. If he camps well then we will go to South Dakota in August for two weeks. My teardrop will get a workout.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love Guru Road and I'm so glad that it's being restored. Yes, we saw the Rendezvous fireworks the night we were on the Playa. :-)
DeleteI would love to see your teardrop trailer. Would you be willing to share photos?
Yes, If Iget some good shots.
